Principal - Michelle Walkhouse, FISTD

Michelle is honoured to be taking over the Karen Hollebon School of Dance and hopes to continue the caring, fun legacy that Karen has built up over the past 10 years.

 Michelle is a fellow of the ISTD in both modern and tap as well as a qualified ballet teacher and a Stott Pilates instructor. She is also an approved tutor of the Diploma of Dance Education training young students across Sussex to share her passion for teaching dance.

Michelle trained at Bush Davies and Elmhurst Ballet Schools before performing as a professional dancer for over 10 years around the world.

After starting her dance teaching career in Alberta, Canada, Michelle moved back to England with her family to continue her love of teaching and is now thrilled to have her own school to continue to inspire students to dance.

Amira Kendall, DDI Ballet & Tap

Ballet Modern and Tap Teacher

Amira began her dance training in Burgess Hill and Miss Karen Hollebon was one of her first teachers coaching her for exams and entering her in festivals from the age of 3. She trained for 4 years at Performers College and graduated in 2017 with a Diploma in Dance & Musical Theatre and Teacher Training in ISTD Ballet and Tap. At Performers Amira studied ballet, tap, contemporary, jazz, commercial, hip hop and musical theatre. She also choreographed tap performances.

Amira taught and performed in the ISTD tour of Vietnam in 2016 and has performed at the FA Cup Final and in the musical Never Forget.
